I can understand and communicate (intermediate level) in Laosian and Thai. I am a registered social worker, previously worked as a child protection social worker for many years, and I am practicing family counselling. I am also a mother, sister, auntie, great auntie, and friend. I love singing, enjoy jogging, walking, going out with friends and families, reading, cooking and sewing. I am a mother to an autistic child who is an adult now. I am family oriented and love my community-Cambodian and Canadian. I am relational, passionate, and caring. I am fortunate to have the trust of clients (with whom I work for the last many years) who amazingly and bravely share with me their deepest thoughts/feelings/emotions such as worries, fear, quilts, shame, insights, and happiness. I am grateful and honoured to be part of the support of their self-growth and success they discover for themselves in their relationship(s), family, work, and in life. I wish to share my knowledge and skills to assist and support others to feel happier and healthier about themselves and their lives. I have a Bachelor of Social Work, with a combined 25+ years experiences in child welfare systems, both in BC and ON, extensive on-going professional training/workshops, as well as life experiences such as war, trauma, migration, parenting, co-parenting, multigenerational family systemic issues, and a special needs child, living with Autism spectrum disorder. I am a Registered Social Worker, who used to work as a child protection social worker for the Ministry of Child and Family Development in Vancouver, BC, and for Peel Children's Aid Society, in Peel Region, ON, for a combined 15+ years.
